This is exciting for me, both of these guys are two of my all-time favorites in baseball. Manny Trillo was my favorite player for a long time, mostly for the way he played defense. Razor is a great guy, and was a class act every time I met him while he was coaching at Indianapolis. Congrats to both of them!

The White Sox have named new managers and coaches for their 2004 minor league teams.
Former Cub Manny Trillo joins Double-A Birmingham as the team's new hitting coach. Razor Shines begins his first season as manager of the Barons, after leading Class A Winston-Salem to the Carolina League Championship in just his second season. He will be joined by pitching coach Juan Nieves, who returns for his fourth season, and Trillo, who played 17 major-league seasons with Oakland (1973-74), the Cubs (1975-78), Philadelphia (1979-82), Cleveland (1983), Montreal (1983), San Francisco (1984-85) and the Cubs (1986-89).
