View Full Version : Sox looking at any other Lower-Tier FA?
Damian Moss a second shot in an AL rotation?
El Duque or Livan Hernandez for a rotation shot?
Urbina to strengten the pen?
Any Interest in re-acquiring Almonte?
Also, Koch to NYM is dead w/ the Mets' signing of Looper.
Ordonez to Anaheim is dead w/ Vladimir inking a contract.
Windows keep closing, and apparently, it looks like, so is opportunity.
New management. New Ownership. I'd give it a shot.

I think signing Politte ruled out any shot at Oogie.
I'd like to see one of the Hernandez brothers in a Sox uni, but I think their asking price is too high. They stay healthy and there's still gas in both of their tanks.

Is it a two party out of state check?

In regards to ownership, if he's selling, I'm offering $135 and not a penny more. Of course, I'd have to pull a Snyder and make myself the GM.
In regards to management, I have much experience handling 10+ figures, know baseball well and wouldn't even ask for a salary for the GM spot.

Hell why not use the Uncle Jerry approach? Other People's Money!
He was smart enough to let other people finance things. He was just the middle man (for a small fee of course....)
You can do the same. Find twenty suckers who'll put up 15 million each and you're in business!

'Tis a way to go though Lip, although, I wouldn't want to deal with a plethera of minority owners. The asking amount is of no worries to me financially; I would, however, probably do too much damage being a fan first though. [see: Dan Synder].

At the very least this team should bring in one of these three guys. If any one of them sign for less then Showenweiss I'm going to throw a tantrem.

Moss or Hernandez yes. El Duque just sucks. For some reason, folks are just mesmerized by pitchers with funky releases.
