Uh oh, Rich isn't going to be very happy.

Anyway, the Padres seem to be loaded with outfielders. Brian Giles, Terrence Long, Phil Nevin, Xavier Nady, Brian Buchanan, and Henri Stanley will all be fighting for spots. I'm assuming Giles will play in left, Payton in center, and Nevin in right.

I have no idea who will compete for the center field job, two starting infield spots, a handful of slots in the rotation, most of the bullpen including the closer, and the back-up catcher. I'm sure something will fall in my lap.
