I know we offered him a contract, but I don't remember him ever signing, and unless I'm mistaken (which is quite possible, I'm very tired) didn't he have to sign by yesterday, or else we'd lose him until May? Please let me know I'm wrong.

I believe we did. We let Sullivan go.

Yes. He was locked up for about 1.5 MM.

I haven't heard anything like this. It was my understanding that the Sox had to tender him a contract offer before the deadline a couple weeks ago. They did this just before the deadline. This contract offer means that Shoeneweis will go to arbitration unless the two sides can come to an agreement on a contract before then. Therefore, he will get somewhere in the $1.5 - 2 million range. If they have actually come to an agreement, could someone post the link? I haven't seen anything about it in the Trib, CST, MLB.com or elsewhere.
