After signing Politte Williams said that he plans to sign one more veteran pitcher. I'd like to see Jeff NElson. Who are you guys hoping for?

Also, does anybody here know how these guys have performed lately?

Scott Elarton
Scott Sauerbeck

Sauerbeck stunk it up after being traded to Boston. But we don't need another lefty, anyway.

There's really no reason to spend more money on a reliever when Matt Ginter should be able to step in and do the job for $300,000.

yeah, i'd much rather get starting pitching and let guys like ginter, cotts, etc. start out in a setup role.

Then KW better get to dealing for a vet reliever because the last thing the White Sox will need this season is a walk-machine (Cotts) coming in from the BP to hold a game down when he'll be followed, almost certainly, by Botch if the Sox are tied/winning come the 9th.

Yes. Go for starters. If the rotation is fine, the bullpen will take care of itself. Ozzie was right at his introductory press conference when he asked for only six pitchers: five ace starters and one closer.

I'm not so sure about that. If Marte becomes the closer, which lets face it, he probably will - that leaves Wunsch as the only guy you can use pre-9th inning. So having another lefty would be a good thing.

If we're just talking about a second lefty specialist, we have good in house candidates in Sanders, Munoz, and possibly even Cotts.

Of course this is the same organization that also thought clowns like Aaron Myette, Mike Bertotti, Chris Clemons, Rodney Bolton and Scott Ruffcorn could pitch too!

With respect Jeremy no friggin' way.

But it's all a moot point the Sox are Milwaukee South and are too poor to do anything anyway so we might as well get used to Jeremy's idea. Then at the end of the season we can all have a great laugh.

Great - then we are only about 3 ace starters and one closer away from giving him what he needs.

Did the Yankees non-tender Nelson? I did not think he was a free agent but this morning I heard that he is on the verge of signing with the Rangers.
