In my humble opnion, of course.

Best case scenario:
-A-Rod trade goes down.
-We trade Maggs to the Bo Sox for Garciaparra and Williamson
-We trade Garciaparra to LA for O.Perez, G.Mota, and a stud
pitching prospect
-Sox trade Jose to Seattle for F.Garcia? (hopefully, Garcia)
-Sox sign a veteran RF to replace Maggs. Juan Gonzalez or
some other worthy veteran for a sort term cheap contract

The best case scenario is that Jerry Reinsdorf increases payroll by 10 million but we all know that aint happening

That would be the best that I could see for next year. If they can throw Konerko into the LA deal for one less pitcher, I could even go for that because it would free up money for a Ponson or other starter and possibly a CF candidate to compete with Rowand.

They'd also need a SS unless we are counting on Uribe - which they probably are.
