Sigh. Why aren't we signing anyone yet?

According to the LA official website, he's back on a 1-year deal for $1.5 M base salary + $1 M in incentives ( based on games/ innings )

In a not-too-related matter, I saw on ESPN.com where Scott Boras was leaning on the Marlins to sign I-Rod to a 3 / $30 M deal, as "he had an offer for 4 / $40 M" but wanted to stay with the fighting fish.

So far, no team has stepped up to claim that offer.

Do you think that an agent like Boras would lie to stir up interest for his client?

[ He certainly got the Rangers to bid against themself for A-Rod ]

I'm convinced now that, with the majority of holes we have left to fill, that Sox minor leaguers will be called up to fill said holes for Opening Day. KW may make a trade or two, but nothing blockbuster for the Sox..... maybe for the team we trade with..... but not the Sox. It's the only way the rest of this offseason can go now because none of the premier FA's left to possibly sign would ever come here to play and alot of the cusp FA's are already signed to play somewhere else.

At least the tamales sales will increase again at Dodger's Stadium!! :D:

:reinsy I'd probably get more innings out of Greg Hibbard than signing that fat tub of gue"!!
