Unions rejected the re do of A Rod deal. This doesn't mean the deal is dead but some work left to do.

two, The White Sox will keep Nomar and won't move him to LA.

three, Pud Selig set the deadline not Hicks.

Can Bud really do that? Can't trades happen at anytime for the most part?

What a frickin' idiot. The whole country is talking baseball in December because of these negotiations and he wants to put a stop to it!! :?:

Hell, I'd put the three parties in a TV studio and charge fans $29.95 to watch them do the deal. :smile:

I think he is setting a deadline because A-rod is dealing directly with the Bosox on the renegotiation. If it was a straight trade, I am sure he would not be setting a deadline.
