Every Christmas, for a number of years, being the Good Uncle
and being the biggest Sox Fan, I always my niece/nephew/little cousins/close friends WHITE SOX related things for Xmas.
Last year, I was able to purchase about 20 White Sox tshirts and give them as presents. They looked great. Unfortuneately, due to my White Sox related Payroll Slashing,
No White Sox related merchandise are being Given Away this yr.

Good job. You do realize, though, that (even if you think it's stupid reasoning) giving less money to the Sox will only result in lower payroll, which only ends up hurting all of us, right?

"It is because of guys like Hangar who don't come to the park enough, buy enough beer, park enough, buy enough hats, jerseys and shirts that I can only afford a $58mm payroll and 3 new Mercedes this year."

Good Point anewman. I have to Pick and Choose where i'll be
"cutting payroll" also. My cousin is DISGUSTED and im having a hard time getting him to Re-UP for our season tickets. Im not enthused in finding someone to go in with me on these .....

Contrary to published reports the earth does not revolve around Hangar18, but in fact around a large gaseous ball called the sun.

Maybe JR keeps the payroll so low because he buys his family and neighborhood friends BMW's with Sox logos on them for christmas. How can you hate a guy who just loves to spread good cheer just like you? That has been the key all along. It's JR's holiday spending that has been tanking this team all along.

So anyway, JR is the Antichrist, Hangar18 is pissed off about it, anything new to report?

would be awesome if the world revolved around me, because
then I'd be running the SOX and 1st thing would be to demolish
that stadium. I wouldnt mind seeing a Black and Silver BMW
in front of my house, with a SOX logo on it .......

Don't the White Sox (or any MLB team) get their money before the merchandise even hits the shelf?

I think that if no one showed up to the games or bought anything, etc., JR would allow the payroll to go below $10 million before he would sell.

There are really only 2 ways to change the way the Sox are being run.

#1 Buy out JR - What kind of a story would that make? WSI buys out JR. If all the guy cares about is money, let's find us a group of investors willing to buy him out. I have a few thousand dollars in mutual funds that I would be willing to pledge to the effort.

#2 Get JR busted or force him out - We need to find the dirt on JR. I'm not talking about hookers or gambling, but Enron kind of dirt. Then either force him out through blackmail or notify the justice department.

Leave all the sign holdin' protesting stuff to the hippies and socialists, we are capitalists! ARE YOU WITH ME!?!?!?!?!

Just an FYI.

MLB branded merchandise revenue is shared revenue, which is doled out evenly among all thirty teams.

Hey fellas, it's a long off-season, let's wait and see before we burn Sox t-shirts... sounds like we're involved in this Boston deal (gulp)...
