Incidentally, on BA's transactions page it noted the Cubs have signed former White Sox reliever Gary Glover.

Glover started and relieved for the Sox over the last three years before
being shipped to Anaheim late last season. He's never had a really good
season, but he's 27, and perhaps a change of scenery would do him good. I
imagine he'll be given a shot to make the bullpen.

I would've liked to see Glover back in a Sox uniform in place of Danny Wrong out of the bullpen. I think that managed correctly, Glover could've been a fine 7th inning guy. He could do well in the NL and I wouldn't be surprised to see him as the Cubs' 5th starter in place of Estes.

I agree with you once again, mhouse. Glover will be a decent 5th starter/long relief guy for them. Another upgrade for the Cubs.

I was going to post this last nite. I was driving past
the Park, and I couldve Swore I saw Jim Hendry picking
thru the Trash Dumpsters at Comiskey yesterday.

Yet Another Example of the Cubs Never Being
Too Proud to Pick thru
the White Sox Dumpster over on 35th St.....

He'll fill a hole for the Cubs that HOPEFULLY the Sox won't have next year.
