Just heard a rumor on ESPN Radio that Carlos Guillen is going to Cleveland for Omar Vizquel. I know these ESPN rumors should be taken with a grain of salt, but has anyone else heard of this? I thought teams were supposedly beating down the door about Valentin?

If KW exercized Valentin's option because he thought no SSs would be available, it looks like he badly miscalculated. Half of the starting SSs in the major leagues (plus one from Japan) have been FAs or trade bait this offseason.

This sounds like a classic, "grass is greener" scenario. Both of those guys are old, huge injury risks and can't hit anymore. But Vizquel is a 'name' player, and Seattle's new GM is an idiot that likes these types of players.

I like Guillen better than Vizquel. Cleveland is doing all right for themselves here.

Guillen is not very old. He has been hurt, but has a huge upside. I can't believe Seattle made this trade.
