Finally some good news. Its seems we got bueherle pretty well locked up now he just signed a new deal that kicks in after this season. 3 years and 18 mil with an option for a 4th year. This great news, he is our guy and im happy so see managment make a move to keep him.

It was around the same, but the content of the contract is different. Buehrle gets $3.5 million in 2004, $5.75 million in 2005 and $7.75 million in 2006. Chicago has a $9.5 million option for 2007 with a $1 million buyout. If Buehrle is gonna be this generations signature pitcher that wins 15-20 every year im all for this contract.

I hope the Sox don't think they can announce this today, sit idly through the weekend, and then crow that they resigned our ace and that's all we're getting for Christmas.

I don't think anyone here would really be surprised if KW pulls off a trade this weekend...

Nor would anyone really be surprised if he doesn't, either.

Having Cost Certainty on Buerhle, especially at a low number allows KW more flexibility as well
