careful--premature hype has proven to be very bad for White Sox pitchers (and fans) in recent years.

You're right, Charlie. I had barely heard of MB until he joined the rotation this spring.
I remember peter gammons couldn't stop talking, several years ago, about our great young pitchers: johnny ruffin and scott ruffcorn.
And in an earlier era I remember ken kravec and jack kucek
And when I was a wee youngster, francisco carlos.
