Scott Sullivan also in line for arbitration.

I'm glad the Yanks took Gordon. He never really impressed me, and he's an injury waiting to happen. I'm very pleased to take Scotty Sullivan instead of him.

I hope we can retain Colon, as I've said we would all along. Time will tell.

What other tricks does KW have up the sleeve? Seems like stuff is in and out, unraveling ...

Why? If he went to arbitration wouldn't he end up making at least 10 mil?

Waste of money in a 60 mil payroll. You can fill at least two holes with solid players at 2B, CF, or SP. It could also really help out the bullpen.

I love the guy too, but not that much.

The White Sox might have a pretty strong case for their number if it isnt way too low because of his 4 ERA and a not so great W-L record

Draft Picks is worth the risk and it extends the time the Sox can talk to Colon. If the Angles deal falls through, expect Colon to accepted the Sox offer and we will have him for one more year.

The Sun-Times is saying bart is close to signing with Anaheim. from the Doug Padilla story: "starting pitcher Bartolo Colon appears to be close to a deal with the Anaheim Angels

If true I guess Anaheim wasn't offering deferred money.

I'm tired of this rollercoaster, I wish he'd sign with us or someone else already! Every day a new report is out on him

Bah... I've heard reports about him going everywhere at one time or another... I'll believe it when I see it. Not saying he's going to sign with us, but I think I've read Bart has been close to signing with at leas 4-5 teams now. Newspapers exist to be sold, not to get any facts right.

And there's a good chance that the guy saying that everyone wants him is his agent to try and jack up the price.

I defer salaries, not ticket price hikes
