View Full Version : Another Dumb Cub fan!

In today's Cubs/Braves game in Atlanta.......
a cub fan held a sign that said: "I BEIEVE 1908 - 2001" in huge letters
Then Chimp Caray said somethin dumb about "beieving" and Joe Carter followed up with his usual idiocy by saying "Oh Yea, I think he forgot the L in believe..."
But hey who am I to make fun of announcers....Hawk just said, "The Sox put a snowboard up in this inning" when the Sox scored 8.

Sorry, your brain must have been working faster than your ears were. I heard Hawk, and he clearly said the Sox "put a snowman on the board this inning". Not that Hawk doesn't flub or isn't a homer, but he certainly didn't say "snowboard"...

That I agree with, he did say snowman, not snowboard.

I guess they grow a special crop of cub fans out in Atlanta.
I've heard snowman used before. Its not everyday you get to use lines like that.

Well, it's not like I was angry anyway(like others would've been. Oh crap, I've said too much.)

Hawk's a golf addict. An eight in golf is always a snowman. So why is that the equivalent of a Cub fan's mispellings?

Hey Nellie...Hawk could go on a three day bender and still not sound as moronic as the Nort Side Numbskulls.....it just shows his extrordinary command of the language and its linguistic nuances.
You and Louie up for a brew after the game?
