Thanks for putting together those old pictures. For those of you to young to see the old park, the picnic area was just a great place to see the game. The smells of the food, the banter with the left fielder and the people just talking and sitting at the picnic tables was what made it an unique experience. Bill Veeck would come down there at times and just talk to people.
Thanks again

My God...I'd never get my ass in those seats these days. That said, I really miss the "Old Gal" :(:

I think the paint on those seats was thicker than the wood. How many times did they change colors on the seats? My first game there was in '87 (9 years old) with my grandpa, Baines hit a homerun, I spilt my soda and the Sox lost...ah the memories!! The scoreboard was just too cool though, that was magic when that thing lit up!

Funny you should mention Old Comiskey. I was looking at my Mom and Dad's old pictures, and I found all these photographs of the old Sox players. I'll put them on as soon as I find out how to work our new scanner......BTW how do you put pictures on here? I'm not exactly a computer expert.

Your best bet would be to upload them from your hard drive to the WSI Photo Gallery. It is rather painless and self explanatory, you can find it here. (http://www.whitesoxinteractive.com/4images/)
