The Yankees signed lefty Paul Quantrill to boost their bullpen. Interesting tidbit at the end of the article says that the Royals are "close to signing" Benito Santiago and Raul Mondesi. Mondesi would be a legit bat added to their lineup and also a solid outfielder. Santiago is older, but he's a good catcher and would be an upgrade over Mayne and whomever else.

That page was updated later today saying the Yankees signed Quantrill and Heredia. This means Gabe White is still available and their bullpen is filling up quickly.

Rivera, Gordon, Karsay RHP
Quantrill, Heredia, Hammond LHP

Perhaps the Sox could still make an offer to White? Or Sullivan? When did these Reds relievers become such a hot commodity?

Also said Hasegawa has offers from 30 teams. Could one be the White Sox....? :o:

LMAO :)
I was thinking the same thing, but I just didn't wanna say it. It's sad, but probably true. Very funny either way... *sigh* :(:
