Judge must have gotten some free tickets or something. Why not just raise ticket prices of some(like 50 bucks a bleacher seat) games, then having a side resale shop. Sure it may shut out Sox fans who want to sit in the bleachers for Crosstown games, but I say lets keep the Bill Veeck policy of boycotting Wiggly Field for-ever. Can you ever see the Sox setting up a scam like this?????????????????

:reinsy"Hey once these upper renovations are done, everybody will want a retro post in front of their seat ticket "

I call them CUPS because at least 100,000 cups of :gulp: beer are poured at every average Cub game. Also I was always amused (Yea, I'm easily entertained) of those spent beer cups used to spell out stuff in the fences in the left field area stands.......... :D:

Any organization that HAS TO GO TO TRIAL FOR RESELLING THEIR OWN TICKETS is pathetic and stupid. Just think about the outraeousness of that statement, a team on trial for reselling their own tickets, how dumb can you get?

I think the stupid ones are the ones that PAY for tickets that they know are being scalped by the team they are buying tickets to see (I think that made sense... ).

that they were doing nothing illegal - and that if the legislature wants, they can address this. I bet that happens at some point in time. This seems silly to permit.

I don't understand this, if I bought tickets and tried to sell them for more than the face value outside of the park they would arrest me for scalping. Why is this different.

From what I understand, you have to have a license (I am guessing that is because the city/state wants their cut). I don't know the whole story, but I asked a similar question before and that is the answer I received.

If you are a liscensed ticket broker in the state of Illinois, you are allowed to make a profit on what you are selling, there is no set limit as to what the profit margin is,as it falls under the rule of supply and demand.

Payday loan stores operate under a similarly hazy situation, sometimes charging interest rates as high as 45% on short term loans, while all conventional type loans are regulated as to what their profit margin for the lender is based on guidelines set forth by the Treasury Department.
