Tom Gordon is an "A"? Gimmie the draft picks.

This is why giving up decent prospects (see Webster and Rupe) for Everett, may not be so bad after all.

We are going to get 3 extra 1st round pick out of this deal. That is a great thing.

They won't offer Carl arbitration unless he guarantees them he'll refuse it, and I don't see that happenning. Gordon will be another story IMO.

if flash accepted arbitration, I dont see him winning it, which is why he'd decline and we'd get a draft pick.

Sandy Alomar? Don't you mean Roberto?

None of these players have been offered abitration. They need to be offered arbitration before any compensation can come the Sox' way.

Colon and Everett are type "A", but none of those other guys are. Flash wants too much money, Sully's option is pretty high-priced, and the Alomars are both old and not worth much more than cheapish one-year deals. I wouldn't mind having Everett back for the right price. He gave us a big offensive push after we got him and then I wouldn't feel so bad for giving up 3 prospects. He's somewhat of a "grinder." Aside from Colon, I could care less about losing the other guys.
