At least he'll get to beat the Cubs 19 times a year now.

IF Jerry gets the job with the Reds we'll be treated to hearing the local press pressing Jerry to blast the White Sox. For whatever deficiencies Jerry may have had as Sox manager, character was not lacking on his part. So in the event Jerry lands the Reds job maybe, just maybe, the Sox will avoid being further lambasted.

The greatest thing that could happen if Jerry Manuel gets the reds job is he would get the opprotunity to bench D'angelo Jimenez two years in a row on two seperate teams.

Did MLB adopt the NFL policy of interviewing any and all African/Americans with a heart beat for management openings?

I believe Jerry will be a much better manager the second time around. However, he should take a year off, cash his Sox paychecks and do a self evaluation of his Sox career.

Now the Pirates and Expos will really have to bring their A-game.
