He's only the second person on a last place team to win MVP. Andre Dawson ('87) is the only other one

He deserves the award, but it is kind of ironic. "Most Valuable Player", no player in baseball has done more to hurt his team. The Rangers are handcuffed with his salary and have stunk ever since his arrival. Sure they have the best player in baseball, but I'm sure they'd love to get rid of him.

No they are handcuffed by all the money spent on non preforming players. Chan Ho Park hurts them a lot more then A Rod does.
