If any of these three get in the standards will indeed have been lowered. Who next, Chip?

I am all for them getting into the hall just to read the King's parody of their entrance speech.

You really have been drinking too much silver and black kool-aid. Hawk is a decent announcer, Rooney competent but boring, and Farmer a complete train wreck. The only way these guys get into the Hall is with a ticket.

That section of the HOF has been pretty much a joke ever since they allowed Milo Hamilton in. And kept Bob Uecker waiting until just this year.

I think Hawk is deserving and will eventually be voted in based upon his potential longevity with the club (signed through 2008 and has that job as long as he wants it). He bring national attention to the White Sox which is apparent when even the idiots at SportsCenter turns up his home run calls and has a well-known knack for finding catchy nick-names for players that can only help. Hawk does what is there to do, bring energy and passion - he bleeds black.

For what it's worth, winners of the award aren't inducted as Hall of Famers. So, even though Bob Uecker won the award last year, he's not considered a Hall of Famer.

Even you're going to vote for anyone, Jon Miller should be it. It will be a sad day for the Ford C. Frick award if Hawk ever wins it.

"Yessir...............It sure is great standin' here in front of you all about to enter the company of Mel Allen, Ernie Harwell, Jack Buck, Bob Elston...."

"Actually Ken - you're now the only member. After hearing that you got in, everybody else has renounced their own awards. Even the estates of the deceased members."

"Yessir - It sure is great stadin' here in front of you all as the first ever winner of the Ford Frick Award....."

you guys are pathetic. hawk is the best announcer in baseball, hands down. maybe you are all spoiled listening to him for 95 percent of the games every year. listen to chip caray, ron santo, or even any other team in the majors. they couldnt hold hawk's jock strap. (or in this case, his microphone). im just so confused how you can rip on hawk.

as for rooney, farmer, and dj, no comment.
