I'd rather have wilson. CF'er and an awesome producer. no-brainer, except for the price.

If they get rid of Helton, they'll need a 1B (Konerko), and we could orchestrate some other people to go. Hell, if KW was able to swing that Colon trade, then he should prolly be able to do something here.

Helton is the real deal...Wilson would scare me after the drop off the 2nd half (though he did get a ton of RBI even in his bad games, it was uncanny)....and with his free swinging ways he seems like someone that benefitted from Coors.

THough thinking about Heltons deal....he makes a ton no?

Neither of these guys are worth the investment. Only trade for them if Colorado picks up a good portion of the tab.

Isn't Preston Wilson a strikeout machine?

This guy would go from hero to zero if you brought him back from La-La Land (Coors Field).

His home v. away splits are disturbing, plus he had a .980 fielding percentage in CF, and he grounded into 23 double plays!

G HR RBI SO OBP SLG AVG
Home 79 21 84 61 .370 .591 .302

Away 76 15 57 78 .316 .479 .260

All this for $6.5m? Even if we could afford it... NO THANK YOU!

:walnuts
Shoot... this guy is just a pretender!
