You can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear, or to put it another way a manager is only as good as his talent.

It will be interesting to see what type of financial committment the club makes to Ozzie in terms of talent on the field.

and Hangar you can forget about Rodriguez (Baltimore) and Kaz (Mets)

I think we'll be lucky to see 500, based on the team that we are most likely to field next year, new unproven manager and the Cubs ADDING payroll, I wouldn't be supprised come mid Aprill if I'm one of 10 people in the park!

Nope. We've experienced teams that since 2000 have finished no worse than .500. Granted, that's not championship baseball, but its not mediocrity either. Mediocrity is what's coming down the road........
