Way to go Tom.

Is the other writer a WSIer as well?

Nice work, Tom.

Both of those letters were great ... I liked the "saving 15 cents" comment at the end of the second one.

does the girl who reads the sun-times realize it's pretty much as cubbie crack induced as the 'bune?

EXCELLENT!!!

Hopefully you've written Dave Hoekstra's bosses at the Cub-Times as well. That dip-feces slams Sox fans and then in his "apology" he brings up an incident that he witnesses in what I believe was a further slam.

wow, that was refreshing. I have to give props for the cubune tho, at least they printed that.

But, those types of remarks that sparked the whole thing is what I have to deal with in Northbrook. ARRGH

Dear Mr. Hoeskstra
The sophomoric cheap shot directed towards White Sox fans in your article further solidifies the Chicago Sun Times' reputation as a second-rate newspaper. Anyone who would write a lame "joke" that would insult a sizable portion of his employer's readership must be a total ignoramus.

Hi Saltypretzel ;
That would be Mr. Hoekstra. Thanks for reading....and remember there's also a Cubs/Kyle Farnsworth joke in there, too!
Dave

Cool! In that case, we can all look forward to Farnsworth body-slamming you to the ground and beating you to a bloody pulp.

Thanks for the articulate response, Saltypretzel .
I'll keep this in my White Sox fan file.
Just joking. I don't promote William Ligue type of behavior. But we were called "Boneheaded Sox fans who spent what little money they have on Marlins jerseys" in the Tribune last week. This is getting really old.

I'm born and raised in Chicago, my first major league game was White Sox-Yankees 1965. I love the Sox heritage.....Bill Veeck, Nelson Algren, Nellie Fox, Carlton Fisk, etc. I'd say the 20 or so e-mails I've received today on this issue equal the Steve Bartman/Loser Cubs e-mails I've also received.
