Not much more than 56MM we ended the year with. Here's the link.
They better get off to a great start thats all I can say.

If I ever call the score, my handle's gonna be Kenny Williams' Eyebrows. You'll know it's me.

"It may even be where you start spring training with one club and see what you have and improve upon that. There are a few plans we have on the table right now."
See, that's what we do every year. You have to do things over the winter to get the fans excited. JR just wants him to stay cheap until it looks like we might have a chance to win. That's baloney.

Not to bust anyone's bubble, but this is really old stuff. I mean, REALLY old. The "grinders" quote and the $56 million were originally reported by the mainstream media during Williams' September 29 press conference announcing the dismissal of Jerry Manuel. That was over 3 weeks ago.

George I know it is but it just goes to show you the coverage of the Sox #1 and our chances to actually win anything with a 56MM payroll are slim....very slim.
And that point can not be made enough.

Hell, if we don't sign Colon, I'm not sure spending even $56 million is worth doing.
