Notorious head hunters meet in what is shaping up to be a classic, will Pedro or the Rocket drill anyone? Will Don Zimmer get knocked down again? Stay Tuned and feel free to discuss! :D:

My Prediction:

BoSox 7
Yankees 6 13 innings

This prediction was for entertainment purposes only! :D:

The excitement has me verclempted!

I'm thinking... Yankees 6, Red Sox 2... I hate them Yankees, but they don't let games like this get away (and don't try and remember Game 7 of the 2001 World Series because it won't disprove my point! )

Wait, I totally forgot about Boston's "Billy goat".
I am now thinking that the Yanks will win it, they'll have Enrique Wilson use Bucky Dent's bat to win it in extra innings.

I really hope Boston pulls it out. For one, I hate the Yankees and I'm tired of them. Two, to show those dams Cubbies how it's done. After saying that...Yankees 8 Redsox 3...Pedro chokes alot during big games and the Yanks have the better pen.

Mike... great pick. But I was thinking the same thing about Clemens. I think Pedro will finally "man up" for this one.

Too me, it boils down to the BoSox offense being able to build a large enough lead before the superior Yankee bullpen can take over.

This post is for my bro Scooter from Connecticut, who is a giant Red Sox fan, and a big time Yankee (and Cub) hater...

Go Red Sox!

(as I type this, FOX is saying Pedro doens't have his fastball... hmm)

Dont forget the Red Sox will use Wakefield if Pedro stumbles. The yankees cant hit that knuckler.

I can say with confidence, if the red sox win, the marlins will win the world series. If the yankees win, who knows, but a worn down pedro, a hittable lowe, and a IMO still incosistent wakefield won't get it done against the marlins. The marlins are a patient, smart hitting ballclub, and they will eat boston pitching alive. Plus, Boston hasn't been tearing the cover off the ball, and Florida's pitching will be able to contain the red sox offense.

And it'll be Colon's last game with the White Sox.

If the Yankees blow a 3-2 lead to the Red Sox with the last two games in New York, Steinbrenner will have a stroke, get rid of 15 or so of the current players and will pay whatever is needed to win a title next year. You could see a 250 million dollar payroll.

That's why Sox fans should be pulling for the Yankees.

That's why Colon's agent was in no hurry to sign that offer from the Sox. He like most other top free agents were waiting to see what happens to the Yanks.

Say goodnight Bart, and thanks for your efforts.

Mr. Clemens, if that indeed was your last pitch in Major League Baseball, as a baseball fan, I'd like to thank you for your hard work and dedication to the game. While some of your actions on the field have been reprehensible & costly, your other contributions make up for it.

Mr. Clemens, I salute you! :gulp:

Now, on with the butt-kicking!

From some of the stuff I've read, Lip, Colon isn't too keen about the Yankees or the BoSox. While it's gonna take alot to keep him on the South Side, I think the true competition may come from out west.

Well if he declines the 40 mil that's being rumored I dont know what we can do, besides going after another ace-type such as Livan Hernandez or Andy Pettite

Soriano struck out, and Ortiz got that run back for Pedro in the top of the 8th.

5-2 Yanks in the bottom of the 8th. Martinez is still out there.

If Boston loses this game, it's all Grady Little's fault.

The Red Sox really are the New England Cubs. WOW.

First Dusty leaves his starters in too long and it burns him, now this?

CURSED!

I haven't watched much of the game (blasted HW), but the Yankees sure have a flair for the dramatic.

Quite an interesting game, even if you've only watched a few minutes here and there.

Who knew? Grady Little is a bigger idiot than Dusty Baker. He should've taken Pedro out after the 7th. This is all his fault. Damn, I hate the Yankees.

The high hop off the mound to Walker who makes a nice play and off to the 9th inning of game 7 between the Yankees and the Red Sox, tied at 5.

Playoff baseball at its finest...

Dramatically, not managerially.

If the Red Sox blow it, will Grady Little use Darren Baker as his human shield at the postgame press conference?

No, but he could always do his ventriloquism act and leave the media in such stitches that they won't be able to ask any questions because of the hilarity.

I can just imagine it:

"So, Bambino, you got us again, huh?"
"I wouldn't say I got you... I had Little to do with it."

"What about Pedro having problems?"
"Well since the fight with Zimmer had no fisticuffs, he pulled his punches in the 8th inning tonight, instead."

"Will we beat the Yankees anytime soon?"
"Ask Manny."

And Little walks away from the conference with his little Ruth dummy unscathed.

Too Funny!

It would be great if Grady Little's dummy is called Little Grady, and he does the opening act for a presentation of "No No Nanette"

Somewhere Harry Frazee would be pleased! :D:

Here comes the heart of the lineup from Boston to start the 10th.

Extra innings? Why not?

I've heard that in four separate phone calls... so far.

Starting now, I get to hear the air let out of the big hot air balloon, the way you guys have been hearing it in Chicago today. If I open my window, it will probably sound a lot like "It's all Grady Little's fault."
