What??? The FOX network, it's announcers, and studio people wanted the Cubs to win?? Wow, they sure fooled me!!!

fox is lying...why sign a deal you know ur going to lose money on?
in that same article, fox admitted they sold the first five games worth of ad money...so what's the deal? Even IF the flubs went, it could have been a four game sweep for either team. Even with that bigger ratings boot, the ad time was sold weeks before the WS, cubs or not. If anything, the cubs BEING in the playoffs pushed more ad sales that anything.

For ****'s sake, Fox... You should be glad the Cubs played 12 games this postseason. That's as many as they played in the 58 years prior to this one.

If they were banking on the Cubs and Red Sox to make the Series, they deserve to lose money.

Fox purchased the rights to the Series way before anyone, even Cub fans, thought they would be there. All networks assume they will lose money on major sporting events, but having those events boosts their ratings for other shows due to promos and people being too drunk to find the remote.
