For those who have signed up, the Trib had two articles today about the Sox' managerial search. One was about Guillen - apparently, he has been talking on the phone with JR about the position, but says that it is KW's call. He says his priorities as a manager would be to make sure the players respect each other, have fun and play the game "the right way." He says that while he doesn't have managerial experience, he has been managing in his mind since he was in A ball. And he says that he considers Big Frank a friend, notes that Frank had his best years with Ozzie as a teammate and claims that he always tried to push Frank to be the best he could be. Also, the Trib has an article about Backman's pursuit of the job. It's pretty brief, but says that Backman will interview with KW today and notes that Ron Gardenhire and Mike Scoscia both were guys who came up through their organization's minor league as managers. The same article also indicates that former Phillies manager and White Sox employee Nick Leyva will get an interview.
