with a knuckleballer on the mound they look doomed today, with Zito, they got a shot to finish the wrongsox in game 5, but even so, how they gonna get very much further with just zito and lilly to start

hard to pick which game is worse to watch at this point, A's with half as many pitchers on the mend as the Sox had a couple years back or the bad news bears making the bumbling raiders look halfway decent ... maybe that rerun of predator 2 is still on so I can catch a better ending :redneck

Forget further, if they don't win today, they're facing Pedro in Game 5. I know he wasn't dominant in the first game but you have to like the Red Sox chances no matter who's pitching for the A's.

Just tuned in -- why was Hudson lifted? Is he hurt?

Why are we calling the A's the Abremetrics?

Chaulk this one up for the Red Sox.

Everyone knows Foulke is not a big-game pitcher and chokes in pressure situations.

Oh boy -- now here he goes to prove my teal wrong.

5-4 Boston, in the bottom of the eighth.

That was just classic. I felt almost like I was watching a big game for the Sox in the past...minus the agony. :D:

Poor Keith. He wouldn't have even been in that situation if Byrnes and Tejada didn't run the bases like complete morons yesterday.

0-1 count and Mark Ellis is jumping out of the way of an inside pitch. Jeesus... do like the Twinkies, turn into it, and take one for the team! You're down a run in the ninth! Get on base!!! So he strikes out. And now the game is over.

Every October, Oakland does things the hard way. This playoff series with Boston is an embarrassment to MLB. Both of these teams are PIGS! Neither deserves to go forward.

If the A's lose tomorrow I know everyone here will be parading KW, but we all knew here that Keith had the potential to blow saves

Hudson's owie didn't seem to slow his mouth down:
Owie Boy:

I think we have the better team," Hudson said. "We have the best left-hander in the league going tomorrow. I'll take Barry Zito over Pedro Martinez any day.Hey Timmy, even if you think that, you might want to keep it to yourself until after the game...

Whooooo, took a lot of heat from the A's fans today. You would think I did the trades sending Bradford and Foulke to them. Of course, there wasn't much they could really say:

West said:
What did I ALWAYS tell you guys about Foulke?
Unhappy A's fans said:
You said we would love him until we needed him in a really important game. You sure called that one you bleeping, bleep.
