Tidbit from Baseball America...

Miles, who was the Southern League MVP in 2002 and hit .304-11-50 in 546 at-bats for Triple-A Charlotte this season, was among the Sox promotions after rosters were expanded to 40.

I signed in 1995 and have been grinding from then on, the second baseman said. Its awesome to be here for the pennant race.

Miles, 26, was a 19th-round pick of the Astros in 1995. He was claimed by the Sox in the minor league portion of the Rule 5 draft in 2000 and has emerged as an offensive presence in the upper levels of the minors. The switch-hitter has hit a combined .300 in his three seasons in the White Sox organization.

He's a grinder Kenny.

It's questionable if you'd call what he does at 2B "play". Makes Jimenez look like a gold-glover at second.
