He's another announcer who should think before he opens his mouth. After Wood scored from second Lyons proceeded to tell everyone that not only is Wood a great pitcher but also possess great baseball instincts as a runner.

"Many runners would have hesitated thinking the ball may be caught", gee weren't there 2 outs and a runner is runnig when the ball is hit?

I was just happy to hear him say he made a mistake.

But what a terrible mistake. I was screaming at the TV when he was saying it.

I couldn't stand his statement, "Nobody can deny that the
[Fl]ubs have been playing playoff games all September."

I can...they've been playing Cincinnatti and Pittsburgh!

I must have walked out of the room, I didn't hear him admit the mistake. I'll give him credit for admitting it, most of these announcers would have kept quiet.

yeah, he was a dork for saying it, but gets kudos for admitting it.
