Hawk said that Tony Peña should be the AL Manager of the Year. A case could be made for Peña, I think.

I'd give to Gardenhire or Macha; Pena only kept his team in first at the half that doesn't count.

Manager of the year usually goes to the manager of the surprising team so Pena's got it along with the Marlins manager, I forget his name.

Their teams were expected to be right where they are. Who would have believed back in March, that KC would be finishing with a winning record? Pena deserves it.
