T. Graffanino SS
R. Alomar 2B
F. Thomas DH
M. Ordonez RF
C. Lee LF
P. Konerko 1B
A. Rowand CF
J. Crede 3B
J. Burke C

Kudos to Magglio! He grounded out with Alomar on first, but avoids the GIDP because Graffy and Frank had already made outs ahead of him.

If anyone's out there, what's going on?

Are the team just demoralised now that they can't get in to post-season play? (Then again, why'd we beat the Yanks last night - were they all hungover?)

Do the team care about finishing above KC?

If not, are we, the fans, just going to have to put up with tonite and three more outings of

:corpseball

???

Just looked at Gameday again, and we let Beltran steal from 1st to home?

Somebody say it ain't so...

If Danny Wrong is in the rotation, or the bullpen for that matter, I'll go to exactly 40 less games than I did this season.

Anyone who thinks he can strive in the bullpen is missing the big picture. How can anyone succeed in any role when he walks two batters per inning?

Wright's thrown 85 in three innings?

Who do you think JM will bring in for the fifth?
(Or will he just sit passively and say to the dugout 'win tomorrow' while Wright ends up with over 200 for the night?)

They're mailing it in. Adkins was up in the bullpen. Wright can't go more than one more inning.

The Sox should have put nine cardboard cutouts of themselves out on the field. There have been games this season when I've felt the flesh and blood ballplayers did a remarkable impersonation of their cardboard equivalents. Tonight is one of them.

With the way tonite seems to be shaping up, would I have been in for a shout if I'd gone for the bat boy in 'Pick-to-Click'?

(Sorry, gallows humour...)

My God... they suck.

Wright is throwing watermelons up there.

Tonight, it's just a case of Danny being Danny. I'm wondering if BA will no-hit us.

Konerko is 0 for his last 19.

You can go ahead and cancel the postgame show.

Rowand gets a single!
At least we're not hitless.

What to do with Danny Wright? He's an experiment gone bad. I was unfortunate enough to watch him start the worst loss in franchise history last year, 19-0.

I think it's time to send him down to AAA and leave him there until he's got an ERA of less than 2.00.

Have you ever seen Knight's Field?

I'm not convinced that Cy Young could have an ERA under 2.00 there.

Ok, more timkering tonight.
JM pulls Wright and sticks in a kid pitcher with an ERA over 8?

And I see that he's just walked the first man up.

Then again, I suppose with the game already lost, what harm can it do?

Or does anyone think we'll come back - I know we could, and I hope we do, but is it likely?

This is complete garbage time. Manuel has been waiting for this all season. He can tinker all he wants and nobody really gives a damned.

Never seen it. Then how about less than 3? I'm serious, something must be done. He's nasty when he's got his stuff. But man, he can NOT pitch without his best stuff. It seems like all or nothing.

Maybe he should work long out of the pen, I don't know. But he's no #5 I'll tell you that.

I think Danny "I Can't Pitch" Wright's problem is mental. Remember he was hurt in spring training and missed some time... after Sox doctors clearned him to play he insisted that he was still hurt and saw I think, two more specialists, including Dr. Andrews who reconfirmed the Sox diagnosis.

Given the nature and history, of the Sox doctors I can see Wright's reservations but when outside doctors tell you you are fine then that should be it.

I just think Wright still feels in the back of his mind something is wrong.

In short, he's another Jon Garland.

Great...another Sox pitcher without gonads for our "promising future..."

I take it back about Adkins - he just pitched3 innings without KC scoring. (Then again, I've probably just jinxed him for the 8th - D'Oh!)

If only we could actually score some runs...

I saw Paul Konerko hit into another DP.

Danny Wright should not start another game in a White Sox uniform.

Everyone says his stuff is "nasty" but I have yet to see that. I see no control, a decent fastball that isnt that great, and a decent knuckle curve that he never gets over. He sucks.
