I honestly can't remember. This, of course, eliminates the Sox in '93.

The Indians clinched the AL Central on our field in 1996, shelling Alex Fernandez that night. I was there, and the sight of a few hundred Tribe fans going hog wild behind the first base dugout was a sickening sight to behold.

Also, the Red Sox clinched a wild card berth on our field in 1999. That celebration was quite subdued compared to Cleveland's. It was a doubleheader in which they won the first game, and we won the nightcap against a "B" Red Sox lineup.

The Indians did in '96, when they lambasted Alex Fernandez in the middle game of a 3-game sweep. They played all subs in the finale and still beat the lifeless Sox 4-1. This sweep put the Sox in a huge hole vs. the O's in their wild-card battle and the O's clinched it 10 days later on a Roberto HR vs. the Blue Jays.
