Yanks 50-27 in the road. Wonder what that feels like.

Hope they show the Graffanino play in the first on highlight reels for you non-viewers. A really nice play in a quiet way. Made a catch on a liner to his left and made a perfect throw (on the move) to double off the guy on first. The throw was the real highlight of the play.

Nice going, Carlos. Way to be patient.

I agree. How much longer will we have to suffer with Frank Thomas in the 3 spot.

Konerko is 2 for his last 34, if anyone is still keeping track.

Exactly! I mean, how in the world can someone who hits forty home runs and drives in over a hundred runs possibly help the ballclub? Players like that just suck!

Tell me Rowand didn't look like a little leaguer on that one.

2-1 Yanks.

Par for the course with Rowand in center,he has no business playing centerfield.

Does the way DJ mispronounces Ichiro's name drive anyone else here bat****?

Deadguy

Konerko is a good example of a player who you'd rather see have a higher strike out total, especially when there is a runner on 1st base.

When it comes to strike outs vs. GIDPs, the strike out is the lesser of two evils.

I bet you Russell Branyan doesn't have as many career GIDPs as Konerko has had this season. :D:

Nice job of situational hitting by Aaron Boone right there, laying down the bunt. Why can't our guys do that?

***? Come on, people. At least try to get over the .500 mark.

Aaron Miles? I feel sorry for the people who paid to go watch this ****. Good grief!

The irony of the situation is that Manuel was tossed earlier. Otherwise, I would have assumed that he made this move to bolster Miles' confidence.

As far as I'm concerned, this is still a game the Sox want to win:

-to avoid the Yankees clinching in our park
-to stay even with the Royals in our division
-to keep those punks from Minnesota from celebrating just a little bit longer

Though I wish it would have come at a time when it mattered. That's just the way this year has gone for him and everyone I guess.

Maggs is just 1 homer and 4 RBIs away from yet another 30/100 season, too.

(Consolation prizes for a crummy season.)

I agree ... I was a bit excited there, but it's also the most depressing win I think I've ever seen. It just rubs in what could have and should have been in October ...

Congratulations to the 2003 Chicago White Sox...still extremely disappointing but at least they'll have a "winning" season. (Hey you do what you can fans!)

Takes some of the sting out of the fact the Cubs are now tied for first place.

I still get bummed when I think of Graffy being unavailable for that last Minnesota series...instead, we got Jose V. every single game.

That's the luck of the White Sox! If something can go wrong...rest assured it will.
