Obviously this ins't going to happen, but dreams have sustained Sox fans for 84 years in a row, what's another night?

Sam Smith may have a brain cell or two working after all! (http://www.chicagosports.com/columnists/content/column/0,2007,160450,00.html)

Too bad it's a pipe dream that won't happen in our lifetimes.

I thought it was a pretty insightful piece, too, and started a thread in that regard last Friday but it went nowhere (boo-hoo!). At any rate, he does talk a lot of sense--the "New" Comiskey as football stadium would be a major respite to the poor souls who live around 35th and Shields and I'm sure Bears fans would appreciate actually having rest rooms and that sort of thing in their venue.

I know for durn sure that a Jacobs/Camden or Miller Park clone on the lakefront would be some great digs for us Sox fans. One major problem--funnelling the traffic to a lakefront site. Of course, you'd be talking a maximum of 42,000-46,000 instead of 60,000-65,000 fans.

By the by, I wonder why it is that JR's love slave's daughter Wendy Selig whatever-she-is-now charges a mere $6 for parking at the new palatial Miller Park? Doesn't she know that Uncle Jerry is able to rape his fans for more than double that??

"Wendy, you have lots to learn about this business"
