Jerry Manuel in the media, finally revealed why the Sox have underachieved for all these years under his tutelage....

He said" We have to go out and win every game from now on"..

Shoudn't that be the way things ALWAYS are?? Should n't you ALWAYS try to win every game....??

It all makes sense...the Corpseball, the lack of hunger, the who gives a crap attitude....

thank you Jerry, for finally revealing yourself...hopefully, the powers that be are taking notice....

I think Jerry is just implying there is a sense urgency to win these games...but i hear ya, Every freakin game of the year counts and I don't think Jerry realized that until this series. If we lose this thing by 1/2 or 1 game I'll have a sick feeling for a long time to come.

The thing that I think is weird is that JM actually seemed like he knew what he was doing the first couple years he was on the job. does he have a problem managing veteran players? what happened with him?

Fire Manuel Friday. What exactly do we have to lose at this point in doing so? Let Nossek guide the ship the rest of the way and go from there.

The sad thing is, it's been that way for THREE seasons now! Best record in the AL in 2000, 14-29 start in 2001. Then the team supposedly makes improvements and winds up under .500 in 2002. EVERY year 2 of the first 3 months of the season get pissed away, and the same idiot has been in charge the whole time and just learned NOW that every game counts in the standings.

They ended up .500 in 2002, but it doesn't matter.

I thought they lost the last few games and wound up 81-83. Didn't that coincide with Buehrle not winning his 20th? Well, like you said, it doesn't matter. Either way it sucked.

Neither of us can add! It WAS 81-81!!!

Hey we have a good shot at putting up another 81 this season. If our magic number started at 81 every season we'd be winning this thing.

Where's Drew Sweica? Can I actually LISTEN to the Score instead of Wills now?

Now as I turn it on he's kissing Jacque Jones' ass. Wills it is!

Didn't the end of this game look exactly like game 3 of the divisonal series in 2000? Especially Gordon sitting on the bench...That really hurt.c:\cws.gif

Daver, your dog poster still has me cracking up, but why aren't they taking us seriously!? (the dog's starting to look nervous) ... could we do a bad remake of Dog Day Afternoon
