Consider this an alternative to the "optimists only" thread, to give a better sense of how we diehards feel about our team.

Will the Sox win the division or won't they?

AND I MEAN THIS YEAR, ALOHA.

Nevermind the 10K pessamist/realist threads. You pick on my thread because I edited your post.

Its over, pure and simple. You don't lose 4 in a row,in mid september to your biggest foe and expect(or even deserve) to win anything.

I knew that post would be deleted, or edited. No worries, VC.

Just trying to put some objectivity into the mix here. So far I'm surprised with the results....

Thanks, I figured an old timer like you could handle the stress :D:

Why are you surprised by the results? There are a ton of "It's over" posts on this board. The majority clearly has given up hope. I assume you know who the 1 Yes vote belongs to (so far) and that shouldn't surprise you either.

80/20 is more skewed than I thought. I figgered 60/40.

Then again, the sample size is small so...

Even if by some miracle the entire Twins staff catches the flu bug and they have to forfeit every single remaining game, the Sox don't deserve to win the divsion.

Sorry, this is not a playoff-caliber team...

I am an optimist - but also a realist.
