Beat the mighty Devil Rays 3-1 and is now 20-6. That stinks--let's hope our guy Esteban didn't lose the Cy Young today, too.

If Loaiza had the run support Halladay had in the 1st half, he'd have 23 or 24 wins. Halladay is a good pitcher but has to be up there in run support, but I could be wrong.

What is Halladay's current era. And what is Loaiza's era after the four runs today?

Halladay's could only be a point or so ahead of Loaiza and he'd still have the runs to garner Esteban 22 wins by now. How many times did he lose 1-0, 2-1, etc.?

After today Esteban is at 2.73, Halladay's is at 3.30.

I definitely want Loaiza to win the Cy Young award but Halladay has the numbers to back him up.

Halladay has seven complete games already and he actually pitched 10 innings in one of those (although it was against the Tigers). Esteban has one, although that may be due to Jerry's managerial antics.
As far as getting run support Halladay definitely gets the edge there.
Their strikeouts are pretty much the same but Halladay has the edge in walks.
As far harder opponents, they both have beaten their fair share of top tier teams and bottom dwellers.
But ultimately, the Cy Young award is going to be won via the ERA title which is going to be Esteban's title this year.
