The White Sox announced Tuesday that the sale of individual tickets for home games for the 2003 American League Division Series will be Friday, Sept. 12, at 10 a.m.

The best-of-five division series will begin Tuesday, Sept. 30. The dates and times of the games at U.S. Cellular Field would be based on the final standings, but if the Sox finish with the worst record of the division winners, they would not have home-field advantage and would play Games 3 and 4 at home.

Tickets will be available at the U.S. Cellular Field box office, via the Sox Web site at whitesox.com. and through Ticketmaster at 1-866-SOX-GAME. Tickets will not be available at Ticketmaster outlets.

A limited number of tickets will be available for sale at U.S. Cellular Field. Fans will be permitted to line up shortly before 10 a.m., but no overnight parking will be permitted. Credit cards and cash only will be accepted at the stadium box office.

Between 8,000-9,000 tickets will be available to each potential game. A limit of four tickets per person, to either game, will be instituted on all sales. Ticket prices range from $30-$50.

A's playoff tix on sale here, pertty good seats available as of last night (As attendance has imp[roved but not all that much)----
If Sox and As win their divisions with 2nd and 3rd best div leaders records do we play each other 1st round?

if two teams from one division make the playoffs they automatically do not play eachother...

therefore if bosox yanks us and a's make it we play yanks(assuming boston is a wild card)

if m's and a's make it we play whichever is the division winner.

I went ahead and picked up some As playoff tix on the chance I might be buying Sox tix anyway-

-the As web site just came back up, got rows 29, 29, and 20 around the infield for games 1,2,3

... and we thought the sox had poor attendance

Dave-

Say we do get in and the first game is played on the 30th of September (tuesday), would the second game in the series be played on the 2nd of October (thursday). And then would travel day push back games at the Cell to a Saturday and Sunday series??

I don't remember if they take an off day between games in the ALDS. I know they need a day to travel.

In 2000 didn't they put the tickets for all rounds on sale on the same day? I know it was a weekend I am pretty sure I was able to buy all the tickets that were not included with my weekend package offering. Anyone remember? They should be put on sale on the weekend, not Friday.

The Sox probably don't want to have their sale of the same day the Cubs have theres, thus Friday.

In 2000 they put the first two rounds of the playoffs on sale but not World Series tickets.

Let's say (God forbid) we don't make it or the game I buy is not played, does anyone know if they will be refundable? I tried emailing the Sox with this question but keep getting a "Message Failed" cause someting was wrong with the email address. Thanks
