First Pennant Race since 1967?...

1967 was my first season as a Sox fan. That year we were in one of the great races of all time, and, as I see it, this is the first time since. Sure, we were sort of close in 1972, 1977, 1981 or 1982, 1990-1992, but we were always a longshot - outside looking in - not really in the race.
Amazing that it's been 35 years.

I was just thinking about this over the weekend. In the years we won it, we basically ran away with it. I don't count the '96 wild card race w/ Baltimore as a pennant race. I was born in '72 and this is the best Sox pennant race of my lifetime.
