Doesn't seem like home-field advantage to me.
Uncle Bud did me a solid.

I think it's a desperate attempt to increase their revenues, while at the same time increasing MLB's overseas exposure (they played some games in Japan too, I think... or was that last year?). Even in that tiny ballpark in San Juan, they draw more than they would in Montreal.

Personally, I'd like to see the Expos in Washington next year. Montreal is a pathetic baseball town, but in fairness make of their fans suffer the same kind of alienation we Sox fans do without another MLB team in their town. The Expos don't have a local TV contract, so they're not seen very often in Montreal. Not to mention, theire owners prior to MLB getting control of them were selling off stars like Larry Walker, Randy Johnson, Bartolo Colon, and Pedro Martinez...not even letting the 'spos be competitive against teams like Atlanta and other National League powerhouses. It's a shame, but I think Washington would be a better place for them.
