my apologies if this has already been discussed. i haven't had a lot of time to follow things lately (building a house for the past year or so).

i expected some pretty good pitching from this guy when we got him and maybe it's premature to judge, but hasn't he rather sucked since he's been with us? what do you attrubute this to?

His last couple of games have been shaky, but the first few were solid. Plus he's only had all of 5 2/3 ip with us, so it's a little early to start saying he's crap.

Let this be an example.

For a short period of time the Sox had Jeff Shaw, they got him from the Expos for I think, Jose DeLeon. He was absolutely brutal in the few innings of work he got and the Sox let him go.

Turned out to be a BIG mistake.
