why the hell were the indians not wearing 80's jerseys? we participated in their 1950s game, so why didnt they wear the 80s tribe jerseys? that was pretty lame.

I don't even remember what Indians uniforms were like in the 1980s. Was there anything unusual about them?

It's not like Sox uniforms from the 1950s, which were classy enough that we should be proud to have a chance to show them off.

If I recall, they had some funky red tops during the early 80s. I would have liked to see those, too!

For what it's worth, here are the Indians' uniforms from 1980-1985:

color scheme is the same, striping is pretty much the same. only difference is now they have script writing, the road jerseys say cleveland on them, and i don't think chief wahoo is on their hats anymore

My understanding is the Sox would have to pay for the uniforms and the Indians would have to agree to wear them.

I'll bet the Sox were saving around $10,000 by not bothering with this.
