1) The West Coast trip in early May (2 of 6)

2) A terrible 2 week homestand ending may and starting June (4 of 8)

3) The disaster in July vs Det, Clev and TB (2 of 7)

4) The August Tex/Ana trip where we only had 1 quality start in 7 games and only won 1 of 7.

With JM at the helm, West Coast trips can't be considered disasters. Those are vacations, where the team hits the beach and some phantoms take the field.

This should be extended to Apr. 29 - May 11, back-to-back home and road series against Oakland and Seattle. The Sox went 3-9 over this span.

2) A terrible 2 week homestand ending may and starting June (4 of 8)

That's one home series against Detroit and road series' against Toronto, Cleveland and Arizona. The Sox go 4-9

Yes, these are definitely the 4 worst stretches so far this season. As for good stretches:

1) Between the imfamous Bonds HR off Colon and the bad losses against the dregs of the AL to end the first half, the Sox went 13-6 against SD, Boston, the Cubs and Twins.

2) From the All-Star break to the horrible Anaheim-Texas road trip, the Sox go 14-6, including an 8 game win streak.

3) After the aforementioned ANA-TEX trip, the Sox go 10-4, getting payback on the Angels and Rangers, and taking series' from the Yankees and Detroit.

Looks like we need one more real good stretch and we could take this division. Let's hope it's already started.

Part of JM's job, other then tinkering, is to have the players ready to play.
