did i hear the sox announcers saying 3 or 4 Sox players will be at Grandstand Sports down the Street After Saturday Afternoons Game?

Yeah, and you have to buy a ticket for 40 bucks to get their autographs. Grandstand is giving out 400 tickets and I think that 327 have already been sold.

Did any WSI folk go? I drove past after the game. Lines were stretched down 35th & Wallace. It looked successful.

The money is going to charity. This is not a greed thing.

Pete has always been good to the players and was one of the instrumental forces in convincing us to organize the Windy City Sox Fans a number of years ago. Our proceeds all go to Chicago Baseball Cancer Charities, and Pete and Rose have always given a 10% discount to any card-carrying member.
They're good people.

I know you didn't say it, but whenever people see "40 dollars for an autograph" they may make that assumption.
Just wanted to make sure no one did, I understand they raised $20,000 for charity in a couple of hours. Nice work by the players involved.

I heard a blurb about other stuff going on while the signing happened? any word? I wasnt able to go(due to work) but i'd like to know so that if there is another fundraiser like this, maybe i'll go for sure.
