Ode's humble opinion:
Many frustrated users are starting to disappear from the old site. My father-in-law, who played single A for the Sox decades ago, gave up without getting his first post in.
The fact that the new site works (& will not give errors 30%-99% of the time) will be more than enough incentive for folks to switch and start up the learning curve; just look at how quickly they picked up on features on the old site
A suggestion: when the old site bogs down again during the next game (likely) post a message to folks to try the new site instead of switching to the parking lot
also, start a FAQ or user apps thread where people post "how to's" on the features on the new board
Even if we break the new system (not likely), it can't be any worse than what's been going on lately
