CHICAGO -- Manny Ramirez was not in the starting lineup for Tuesday night's game against the Chicago White Sox even though he was healthy enough to play...

I haven't been paying much attention to the Red Sox of late, but could this possible be a disciplinary action from BoSox management?

If so, you know it's serious, seeing as the BoSox's playoff chances are in the balance.

They talked about it on NESN pregame... the whole RS team's pissed at Ramirez for what he did... Little really has no choice but to sit him. Let him play, lose the rest of the team.

Serves 'em all right.

My BoSox fan friend with whom I went to the game tonight thinks that Manny will be benched for the season for
a) the BS about his "sickness" over the weekend
and
b) apparently engaging in tampering when talking to some New York reporters on Friday, saying how much he wants to be a part of the evil empire.

I don't know if this is for real, but tonight's lineup certainly lends credence to it.

I guess it's not too bad for Boston if Mr. Kotter can keep producing go-aheads.
