Don't ask me to explain it, I think it's ludicrous!

Since June 20th, the White Sox have a record of 19-8 against teams with winning records (9-3 at home and 10-5 on the road). They are 18-16 during that stretch against teams below .500.

and that friends and neighbors could cost us the divisional title.

I think this points to bad management. The Sox have shown a good tendency to get up for the "big" games, but when facing opponents they should beat, they have a tough time bringing it. Part of management's job is to keep employee focus on the task at hand. This doesn't happen all the time with the Sox.

Hopefully, this "interesting stat" will be beneficial down the stretch. Other than Cleveland, our remaining schedule is against teams with winning records. Hopefully, the motivation of these games will put us in a good position to win the division.

Then of course, if we win the division, all we play is teams with better than .500 records. Hmmmmm...
